Course Aims
The main aim of this course is to improve the students' ability to study and work effectively in English. The course will focus on the language skills used in academic contexts. It covers skills for giving presentation, writing academic essays and proposals.

Course Intended Learning Outcomes (CILOs)

Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to:

Write concise, well-organised and clearly worded essays and proposals,
2.Read and understand academic texts related to public administration and management and social issues,
3.Express themselves when giving oral presentations and when participating in small-group discussions,
4.Listen to and understand English spoken at normal speed.
