Part II
Course Aims:
This course aims to increase the breadth of outlook of students in computer related topics. This is the first of a series of Seminar based courses and topics presented will be related to level B2 taught courses.
Upon completion, students should be able to:
1. know the current trends and activities in computer related professions and academic research;
2. acquire knowledge through self-motivated, continuous and outside-class-room learning.

Grading of Student Achievement: Refer to Grading of Courses in the Academic Regulations (Attachment) and to the Explanatory Notes.
Examination duration: Nil Percentage of coursework, examination, etc.: 100% Students have to present their comments or summary of the seminars attended in a report of not less than 5 pages. Grading pattern: Standard (Pass or Fail)

Selected topics presented in the format of seminar. Example topics are : computer architecture development; computer application systems in large corporations; product and research trends.
